Lewis Capaldi is the final act confirmed to perform at the BRIT Awards 2023.

The Someone You Loved singer joins a star-studded line-up which already includes Stormzy, Harry Styles, Wet Leg, Sam Smith, Kim Petras, Lizzo, Cat Burns, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson.

The Pointless hitmaker, who is currently on his Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent tour, will take to the stage at the music ceremony on February 11 at The O2 in London.

Lewis Capaldi is nominated at this year’s awards, picking up a nod in the Song of the Year with MasterCard category – the same award the singer won at last year’s ceremony.

He last performed at the BRIT Awards in 2020, and admitted that he suffered a panic attack before he came on stage.

Lewis said: ”Last time I played The BRIT Awards I was so scared that I had a panic attack before I went on, and then got hammered afterwards. Looking forward to more of the same this year”.

The singer also had a memorable moment at the awards show last year, after having his speech censored by ITV for swearing as he was presenting the British Album of the Year Award with MasterCard to Dua Lipa.

Coming out to cheers, Capaldi jokingly told the crowd to “shut up” and went on to call them “mother f*****s” before being cut off by the broadcaster. The crowd were seen laughing at something Capaldi said while he was muted.

Capaldi went on to say: “Listen guys. I’m f****** sweating. It’s like a swamp down there, I’m telling you. Sweaty b******.

“Hello BRIT Awards! That’s where we are. I’m really sorry, I’m reading off a card here – how is everyone doing?”

While taken in good humour, many fans were worried after the cameo that that might be the singers last appearance at the BRITs. Luckily, Capaldi has a knack for styling out a gaffe, and we’ll be eager to see what he has in store this year.
