Liam Payne surprises shoppers by busking outside Oxford Street tube

Liam Payne surprised shoppers in central London with an impromptu busking session on Oxford Street.

The former One Direction star was spotted performing outside the underground station on Monday morning as a crowd quickly gathered around him.

Payne was joined by DJ and producer Zedd for the enthusiastic rendition of new single Get Low, complete with sound system and microphones.

The pop star seemed in good spirits as he danced around the circle and even went up to onlookers in the crowd.

Just moments after their on-street performance, the pair hopped back in their car and headed over to Trafalgar Square.

“London - @LiamPayne and I are heading to Trafalgar Square to perform a little fun rendition of Get Low for you - in 10mins! Come through,” Zedd wrote on Twitter.

Payne released his latest solo single last month, following in the footsteps of band mates Harry Style, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

“Harry’s song I heard, and I’ll be honest with you...it’s not my sort of music. It’s not something I’d listen to,” he recently told Music Source.

“Niall had Slow Hands out and he had This Town, which is great, and Niall’s gone down the singer-songwriter route, which is really cool.”

Payne is the last of the One Direction boys to release solo material, saying that he has been “working hard in the studio” for over a year.

Payne and girlfriend Cheryl welcomed baby Bear into the world in March.
