Singer Linda Nolan has revealed her cancer has spread.

The Irish star, 61, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. A year later, medics found cellulitis and lymphoedema in her arm, before secondary cancer was found on her pelvis in 2017.

The singer completed chemotherapy in September - but Nolan was told two weeks ago that more tumours have been found on her liver, meaning the disease has spread.

Speaking to The Mirror, the singer - who is one of Seventies group The Nolans- said that, at a recent hospital appointment, her doctor said a growth on her liver had showed up during a CT scan.

She said: “It's scary, I'm not going to lie. I try to be upbeat and positive but I had a really bad day when I got back [home].

“I told my sisters I was fine but when I got inside my house, I cried. I needed to have that cry because I'm scared to death of dying.”

The singer, known for hits such as I’m In The Mood for Dancing, said her consultant is upbeat about her prognosis.

But it means the star will have to take more chemo tablets. She is currently on 26 a day.

The star - the sister of Maureen, Anne and Coleen Nolan and the late Bernie Nolan - was married to her husband Brian Hudson for 25 years. He died in 2007 from cancer.

Nolan said she had been dating recently and had been on a socially distanced date.

She said: “I might see him again but I wouldn't want to get too involved with anybody at the moment because I don't know how long I'm going to be here. I've had the love of my life but it would be nice to have somebody to spend time with.”

The singer's sister Anne has also been battling cancer at the same time, with the 69-year-old being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer within days of Linda.
