The British remake of the acclaimed French comedy series Call My Agent! has announced its star-studded cast.

Set to debut on Amazon Prime Video, the show will follow the same premise of the original: the employees of a talent agency must scramble to keep their star clients happy and their business afloat after the sudden death of their founder.

Moving the show from its original Paris setting to the English-speaking world and showbiz industry will include a greater focus on Transatlantic industry relationships as well as more British references and humour.

Line of Duty's Kelly Macdonald, The Crown's Helena Bonham Carter and The Nevers' Olivia Williams are all set to cameo as versions of themselves on the British side of the talent agency's clients. An equally impressive line-up of US names is set to cameo as well.

Meanwhile, Gentleman Jack's Lydia Leonard leads the cast in the role of Alex (counterpart to the original series' Andréa Martel) and The Morning Sh0w's Jack Davenport stars as Jonathan (based on Mathias Barneville), a smug and successful agent who discovers he has an illegitimate daughter when she appears on the agency's doorsteps.

To round up the cast are Chewing Gum's Maggie Steed, Killing Eve's Hiftu Quasem and Edward Bluemel, Black Mirror's Fola Evans-Akingbola, The Crown's Rebecca Humphries, The King's Harry Trevaldwyn, Game of Thrones' Tim McInnerny, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Natasha Little, Eleonore Arnaud and Jim Broadbent.

BAFTA award winner John Morton is writing and directing the first two episodes and executive producing the series, which began filming earlier this month in London.

The original show was initially broadcast on the French network France 2 but only found global success once it landed on Netflix. With four seasons already in the bag, the series is set to return to the streamer with a movie ahead of its fifth season.

Call My Agent! is yet to announce a release date on Amazon Prime Video.
