Loose Women suffered an awkward technical failure earlier today (November 30) after all the studio lights were shut off for a few moments.

The panel were interviewing former Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase, who was commenting on panellist Ayda Field's "handsome and talented" husband Robbie Williams.

However, in that moment the studio was suddenly plunged into silhouettes, with the group joking that the singer had turned all the lights off. Awkward timing, to say the least.

They then proceeded to make shadow puppets as the team tried to fix the technical failure. Thankfully, the lights came back up after a few moments.

Ayda then joked about Robbie: "You know what, he's so hot and talented that he shut the lights off."

This wasn't the only technical blunder on daytime ITV in recent weeks, with This Morning notably going off air for more than 10 minutes a few weeks ago.

When they came back on air, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby then admitted that they did not know what was going on.

ITV later explained in a statement: "We would like to apologise to This Morning viewers after the programme went off air for 12 minutes today as a result of an issue at BT Tower, which affected the live feed to ITV. We are in contact with BT to establish the cause of this issue."

Honestly, ITV, sort out those technical gremlins! Or at least keep Robbie away from the plugs.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV.
