LORRAINE Kelly has revealed she was left "baffled" by Scottish football fans after last night's Europa League final.

Rangers lost 5-4 to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties, as they suffered late heartache in Seville.

TV presenter Lorraine, who was born in the Gorbals, was cheering the Light Blues on via her Twitter account.

She wrote: "YEsssssss! Fantastic! One-nil to @RangersFC - come on" before adding "So fantastic to see a Scottish team in the finals of a European trophy - and in the lead. Come on @RangersFC."

But after the match, she admitted she was "genuinely baffled".

The 62-year-old wrote: "Genuinely baffled that Scottish football fans wouldn’t want a Scottish team (no matter which team) to win a European trophy - surely we are bigger than that. Let’s just agree to disagree. And that’s OK. I can be a @dundeeunitedfc fan and still want ANY Scottish team to do well."

More than 3,900 people have "liked" her Tweet.

Tens of thousands of Rangers supporters headed to Seville to watch their team play in the European tournament.

Last night we spoke to deflated fans who were in George Square.

One said: "I feel a bit deflated, we didn’t expect that. But ten years ago they wrote us all off and sent us to the gutter.

"And ten years later we’re back so I can’t complain - I’m happy enough.

"It feels amazing to get to the final.

"We lost but we can’t be disappointed when ten years ago there was no team there and ten years later we’re at the top of Europe with a £14m team I’m a bit upset, he’s upset, but it is what it is. That’s football.”
