Love Island fans have something new to obsess over as the Australian version of the show is going to air on screens as of next week.

The record-breaking first series of the reality show, which aired in Australian earlier this summer, proved to be the talk of social media as UK fans were forced to rely on small snapshots of the drama going on in the villa.

Housed just a few miles away from the Love Island UK villa, the Australian villa saw everything from passionate romances to explosive break-ups and even a fight or two.

In fact, some fans were more interested in the Down Under version than the UK one in series fours early days – and now you can finally watch it all.

Listings show that ITVBe will begin airing Love Island Australia from 11pm on Monday 13 August, starting with the 90 minute launch show.

The reality programme is hosted by singer-turned-presenter Sophie Monk while the voiceover is provided by witty Irish radio bod Eoghan McDermott.

And one contestant who appears – albeit briefly – in the Australian version, John James, will be familiar to the UK audience already having appeared in Celebrity Big Brother.

Love Island, which scooped a BAFTA earlier this year, enjoyed a successful year on ITV2 with a peak of 4.1million tuning in to see Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham win series four.

And the popularity of the format has led ITV to sell the show to countries including Sweden, Denmark and Norway to air next year while German Love Island gets underway fairly soon.

Meanwhile, applications for Love Island 2019 here in the UK are already open , with the series tipped for a June start once again.
