Lynda Bellingham's son tells Michael Pattemore: 'Family is blood, family is forever, you are nothing'

Lynda Bellingham’s son has lashed out at his stepfather Michael Pattemore and claimed he was only someone she could ‘pass the time with’ and meant ‘nothing’ to their family.

Michael Peluso and his brother Robbie are embroiled in a bitter legal row with her widower – who she wed in 2008 – over her will and assets after she left everything to him when she died of cancer in 2014.

Nadia Sawalha has weighed in on the ongoing row between Michael Pattemore and the children of his late wife, Lynda Bellingham, branding some of his past comments “disgusting”.

The siblings say they will get ‘less than £50,000 each’ from the late Loose Women star’s estimated £5 million estate after Pattemore spent it, and addressing him in an interview with The Mirror, her 34-year-old son said: ‘Nothing you say or do will ever compare to the love my family had. You can’t take that away from us.

‘You are lonely. We are love and beauty and dignity. You are nothing. Family is blood, family is forever. You are but a whisper in the wind. A distant memory.’

He continued: ‘Soon you will be forgotten, but our family bond goes on for an eternity. When all is said and done you won’t be spoken of. No one will remember you.’

Peluso continued: “You never came close. Just a pretender. Someone to fill the gap. Someone to pass the time with.

Peluso has admitted he and his brother went through mixed emotions when they found out that the legendary television star had changed her will – which initially promised they would get her entire fortune – just weeks after she was diagnosed with cancer so that her spouse would own everything once she was gone.

Speaking on Loose Women he explained: ‘Of course I went through anger. Anger, frustration, guilt because I feel like I should’ve tried harder to make her understand where we were coming from. But I don’t blame her. I don’t blame her. It’s not just about the money, it’s about self-respect, it’s about morals and dignity.’

He stated: ‘It annoys me that they’re still referred to as boys. They aren’t boys. They’re men. They’re perfectly capable of earning a living.

‘Where were the boys in Lynda’s final hours? With him [their dad, her second husband Nunzio Peluso]. They should have been with their dying mother around the bed, the three of us.’

Peluso added that his mum would be ‘disgusted’ at Pattemore, his previous claims that he has slept with her ghost, and with how her name is being thrown around in the public eye.

He said when asked how he thinks his mum would feel if she was here today: ‘She’d be disgusted. If it was just about the money then why wouldn’t my brother and I sit back and wait for the million quid to roll in when he dies.’
