The Masked Dancer spoilers follow.

The Masked Dancer, the equally weird and wonderful relative of The Masked Singer US, has unveiled its latest celebrity contestant after viewers bid goodbye to Exotic Bird.

In last night's (February 3) episode in the US, Exotic Bird failed to make the cut after performing a dance to judge Paula Abdul's 'Opposites Attract' – a risky move that almost paid off.

It also doubled up as a clue, too.

With Tulip, Zebra, Sloth, and Cotton Candy all officially confirmed for the Masked Dancer's semi-finals, American Idol winner and Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks was revealed as Exotic Bird's identity, just as Paula and fellow judge Ashley Tisdale suspected.

Jordin appeared on the 2007 season of American Idol – which Masked Dancer's Abdul also judged – at the tender age of 17, becoming the youngest ever winner of the competition.

Speaking to The Wrap following her exit, Jordin admitted that she had an inkling Paula would guess her correctly. "There is just the connection," she explained.

"I was so young when I did the show and she was so kind to me and she has been my entire career. And so there is just that bond and connection that we have and I was like, 'She's totally going to know. This is crazy.'"

Although some contestants hate getting found out, Jordin said that she was "really happy" Paula sussed the true identity of Exotic Bird.

"I'm happy I had that mask on because my jaw just dropped to the floor. I was like, 'I can't believe she guessed me this early, I cannot believe it'.

"But I was really happy that it was her, because it solidified the fact that we have a little bit of a bond, even though we couldn't even talk to each other. It was nuts... It was just a really cool moment for me to have that with Paula, I really enjoyed that."

The Masked Dancer continues next Wednesday, February 10, on FOX in the US.
