Michelle Keegan in Strangeways Here We Come trailer, looks worlds away from her usual glamour

Michelle Keegan has ditched her usual glamorous attire in a first look at her upcoming film, Strangeways Here We Come.

The trailer shows 31-year-old Keegan sporting a fresh-faced no-makeup look, frizzy hair and glasses.

The independent film sees Keegan star alongside Irish actress Elaine Cassidy, EastEnders actor Stephen Lord and This is England star Chanel Cresswell.

In the film, Keegan plays character Demi, a girl who has been thrown into debt forcing her to battle it out against a loan shark alongside the residents of a Salford estate.

A group of neighbours then decide the only way to become free of the debt is to kill the loan shark and plot to dispose of the body.

They are then thrown into panic after a mysterious woman starts asking questions.

However, it is not a police offer as the group first assumed, it turns out to be the wife of the loan shark they have just murdered.

The dark comedy is set to hit the big screen on October 5.

The new venture comes after Keegan wrapped up the latest season of BBC drama Our Girl last month.

Keegan, who plays army medic Georgie Lane on the show, posted a string of pictures of the cast on Instagram to mark the occasion.

One image shows Keegan posing for a silly snap with army gear on her head, while another shows her laughing hysterically while sat on co-star Ben Aldridge’s lap.

An additional photo shows Keegan having her makeup touched up under an umbrella.

Numerous other snaps show the English actress laughing alongside her fellow cast members.
