Moment Theresa May 'snubbed by voter who was too scared to answer the door'

The Prime Minister was ushered down a driveway after being snubbed by a voter who said he was "too scared" to answer the door.

Theresa May has been meeting voters in Southampton as she canvasses with local Conservative candidate Paul Holmes.

Followed by a large press pack, the PM has met voters as the Tories try to increase their majority in June's election.

But one shy voter found the entourage too daunting to confront.

David Bryan posted a video on Twitter showing the view from a security camera set up on his doorstep.

It appeared to show Mrs May and Mr Holmes leaving a leaflet and backing away from the house down his driveway.

In the footage shared online, Mr Bryan then dashes to the window of his home, where the PM can be seen walking past his house followed by the press pack.

"That time @theresa_may came to my front door but I was too scared to answer," he posted.
