Major supermarkets Tesco, M&S, Morrisons and Co-op have urgently recalled several products including Vimto, Vienetta and own brand cheese.

The issues with the products range from labelling to possible contaminants and Morrisons is urging customers to return its Best Taleggio immediately with no receipt needed due to the possible presence of listeria.

It's worth noting here that you don't actually need a receipt to return any item; a bank statement or proof of transaction on a bank app can be used as proof of purchase if an item is faulty or not in satisfactory condition. A receipt is simply a shortcut to showing proof of purchase.

Here are the recalls in full and what you need to do according to the Food Standards Agency and Morrisons among others:

Co-op

Co-op is recalling its Coop 20* Piece Picnic Platter because of undeclared sulphites and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

If you have bought the above product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund or call Coop Customer Careline on 0800 0686 727.

M&S

Marks & Spencer is recalling M&S Plant Kitchen Mushroom Pie because it contains soya which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

This product contains soya making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to soya, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information contact Marks & Spencer customer care on 0333 0148 555.

Morrisons

Morrisons is recalling two products, Vimto Original 500ml and Morrisons' own Best Taleggio pasta.

The supermarket said about the Vimto: "This action is being taken due to a packaging error, which has caused a limited number of bottles to be labelled with the statement ‘No Added Sugar’, despite the product within the bottles containing added sugar. No other batch codes or Vimto products are affected by this error.

"Customers who purchased the above product from this affected store are asked to return the product to this store and a full refund will be issued."

The supermarket is recalling its Morrisons Best Taleggio 200g packets of pasta because some products may contain listeria. It said: "Morrisons is recalling Use By 14th April because there is a potential risk that some packs may contain Listeria.

"Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.

No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."

Tesco

Unilever is recalling Vienetta products sold only at Tesco, because of a labelling issue.

The Food Standards Agency said: "Unilever are recalling Viennetta Vanilla because milk and soya are not listed in English on the label.

"This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to soya. This is a result of a labelling error which means allergens and product information are in Spanish. This only affects products sold at Tesco stores in the UK."
