Mrs Brown's Boys' new Rory totally messed up a line

Despite being slaughtered by critics, people really, really love Mrs Brown's Boys. So much so that when the original Rory Brown actor (Rory Cowan) was replaced, fans were hugely divided over the fact he was replaced with a new actor rather than written out.

People were divided even further over yesterday's New Year's Day (January 1) special, which saw 'new Rory', played by Damien McKiernan, fluff one of his lines.

In one scene, he looked at Mark and said, "I'm actually here to see you, Rory", before corpsing.

"We've had all week to learn this but that was my fault," joked Brendan O'Carroll, before Damien attempted the line again.

For some viewers, getting the character's name wrong was a step TOO FAR and was RUINING the credibility of the work of art that is Mrs Brown's Boys:
