Another weekend of the lockdown has passed, and once again we've been blessed by some great new music.

We gave good reviews to the new records by Lennon Stella and Lucinda Williams on Friday, but here we've rounded up five new releases from the last few days that might have passed you by.

We've got new albums, fresh EPs (one of which was actually recorded in isolation), stripped-back sessions and more.

This is the new music you need to check out now.

BC Camplight — Shortly After Takeoff

The latest record from BC Camplight, aka Brian Christinzio, is a stark interrogation of his own mental health. It’s a daring record — featuring everything from dubby bass wobbles to stand-up comedy skits — and unlike anything else released this year.

mxmtoon — dawn

This the latest project from bedroom pop favourite mxmtoon. The Californian seems to be on the cusp of big things, and delivers an EP of floating, dreamy jams here.

Dermot Kennedy — Lost In The Soft Light EP

This new three-track EP from Irish breakout star Dermot Kennedy features some stripped-back reworkings of songs off his number one album Without Fear. It should tide fans over until he comes back to London for his rescheduled Ally Pally shows in September.

Kali Uchis — To Feel Alive EP

Kali Uchis’ debut album was called Isolation — a perfect listen for now, then. She’s just released this new EP, featuring four demos recorded during the lockdown while she waits to get back to work on her new full-length.

Sneakbo — 9 LIVES

Brixton rapper Sneakbo is back with his second-full length album. It’s a slick record, touching on drill but delivering the best when it comes to the Afro-bashment sound he helped to pioneer.
