Myrtle Beach Police Rescue Dog Stranded in Pooch Park Pond

Police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, helped rescue a dog that got stranded in the pond at Myrtle Beach dog park on August 8.

A clip posted on the department’s Facebook page shows Cpl. Hunt swimming back to shore with the small dog, named Willie Nelson. According to police, Willie Nelson was chasing ducks when he found himself stuck on the small island in the middle of the pond.
