Yahoo News Nancy Sinatra Snr, Frank Sinatra's first wife, has died
Nancy Sinatra Snr – the first wife and childhood sweetheart of the late, great Frank Sinatra – has passed away at the age of 101.
Nancy Snr and Frank's daughter, the singer Nancy Sinatra, confirmed the news on Twitter in the early hours of this morning (July 14).
"My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101," she wrote. "She was a blessing and the light of my life. Godspeed, Momma. Thank you for everything"

Nancy also shared a link to the Sinatra family's website, whose homepage features a touching tribute to their mother. "Thank you for everything you did for us and for the world," it reads.
A recording of Frank Sinatra singing 'She's Funny That Way' is also included.
Nancy Snr was the first of Sinatra's four wives, and the couple had three children together – Nancy, Frank Jr, who passed away two years ago, and Tina.
It's believed that Nancy and Frank, who started dating as teenagers before marrying in 1939, remained on good terms despite the breakdown in their marriage.
Shortly after the couple's divorce was finalised in 1951, Sinatra married Hollywood actress Ava Gardner, while Nancy Snr went on to raise her and Frank's three children.
Writer and journalist Gay Talese wrote of the "great respect and affection" between Frank and Nancy Snr in the 1960s.
"There is no bitterness, only great respect and affection between Sinatra and his first wife," he wrote (via The Guardian). "And he has long been welcome in her home and has even been known to wander in at odd hours, stoke the fire, lie on the sofa, and fall asleep."
