I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! will see social media influencer Nella Rose sitting around the campfire with a retired politician, soap stars and daytime TV presenters.

At 26 the YouTube star and TV presenter will be the baby of the jungle this year. But that does not mean she should be underestimated and already she has big plans for the ITV show.

She said: "My role in the camp is going to be to keep morale and humour high. I am going to run a Zumba class every morning!"

Rose started her own YouTube channel when she was studying for a sociology degree at university.

She vlogs about her 'crazy' life and also shares hair and make-up tutorials and her fashion hauls with fans.

The TV presenter has built up over 790k followers and won YouTuber of the Year at the PrettyLittleThings influencer awards in 2020.

Rose broke in to mainstream TV when she landed the role of host on the UK version of dating reality docuseries Catfish on MTV in 2022.

However in January earlier this year, the TV star admitted the show had put her off online dating. She told The Mirror: "From the last series I say, 'Oh, I'm never doing this in my life!'."

The Catfish presenter explained: "I've seen the outcome first hand, in real life.

"So personally I'm too scared to put myself in that situation because I'm a lover, I'm a cancer. Imagine I fall in love with you and you're you're not a real person? I don't know what I would with myself. Like, what?"

Adding to her starry career, she hosted the Brit Awards' red carpet for the second year in a row where she was interviewing the famous faces arriving at London's O2.

This year she was joined by showbiz personality Michelle Visage.

Rose said: "I’m sooo happy to be back at The BRITs this year and I’m super excited to be hosting the red carpet with the beautiful Michelle Visage."

Family tragedy

Nella Rose lost her father in 2020, just a few years after her mother had died.

The devoted daughter paid tribute to her late father on social media alongside photographs of them together.

She wrote on Instagram: "Rest in peace daddy. Watching you suffer for the past month has been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life but at least you are not in pain anymore.

"Gonna make you the proudest dad ever in the years to come because I know you're still by my side every step of the way."

Big fan

Rose grew up watching I'm A Celebrity so she revealed this is why she immediately told TV bosses she was up for the challenge.

She shared her family's hilarious reaction to her appearing on the show too.

"My family have been laughing hysterically ever since I told them I was taking part,” she said. “And they asked me why I agreed to do this but I’ve been watching I’m A Celebrity ever since I was a child and I still remember Ian Wright locked up in a room with an Ostrich. It’s so iconic and it’s why I said ‘yes’ immediately."

"I am just so excited to be going to the camp and being on I’m A Celebrity," she adds. "I highly doubt I will win but if I were to do so, I would be shocked. It would be great if I got to the cyclone trial as I think the big water slide would be fun to try out."

Jungle weaknesses

Leaving behind her home comforts, Rose revealed what she is going to miss her sugar cravings and her mobile phone.

However, she is ready to embrace the slow pace of jungle life which she isn't used to with her busy social media and TV career.

She said: "I am addicted to a lot of things. I can’t have food without having something sweet afterwards. I am addicted to honey roasted nuts and fizzy orange drinks, but I am kind of excited to regroup my taste buds. You never know I might even have rice and beans when I am back!

"I am going to miss my phone but it’s going to be quite refreshing to step away from my life and relax. I never relax, my phone is always going off and I’ve got a busy schedule. I am excited to slow down now.”

Whilst she doesn’t plan to do any preparation in the run-up to entering the jungle, Nella said she does want to embrace everything about the jungle.

But she admitted she has a lot of phobias which she is likely to come across in her jungle experience.

She added: "I am scared of everything from red ants, tarantulas to rats or ostriches. A daddy long-legs once flew into my room and I moved out. I was living in my living room and so my family think I am in for a shock.

"I am terrified but I’m trying to think of the bigger picture. In this life, you have to face up to your fears. Yes I might scream the whole time but I am going to think about feeding human beings and I am going to try my best."

Not surprisingly, there isn’t any trial she is particularly looking forward to. “Who wants to eat kangaroo balls and a crocodile eye? I don’t fancy any of the trials.”
