Currently recognised for his role as Gotham's flippered villain Oswald Cobblepot, Robin Lord Taylor has now lined up a new project.

Not just any old project either, but the second season of Netflix's popular stalker series You.

According to Deadline, the actor is on board to portray Will; a character who must tolerate some dodgy folk as part of his job, but as a person himself comes across very intelligent, thoughtful and unique. However, there's a bad situation heading his way.

You's sophomore entry is loosely based on author Caroline Kepnes' novel (titled Hidden Bodies), and will focus on Joe Goldberg's antics in Los Angeles as he comes into contact with a potential new victim - played by The Haunting of Hill House's Victoria Pedretti.

But before newbie Lord Taylor can get to grips with Netflix's project, he'll be freaking out Gotham fans with a time-jump transformation into the classic Penguin.

He previously teased: "We jump forward at the end of the season so we actually get a glimpse of the Penguin that we all know and love.

"I was talking to our costume designer... I was saying like, I don't want him to be like a cartoon, like, I was thinking like the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka! I didn't want that kind of look.

"So we went with something a little more monstrous," he promised "there’s a hunch on his back… He’s becoming a monster."

Gotham season 5 airs on Fox in the US. No release date has been announced for the UK yet.
