Nicola Roberts shares Sarah Harding snaps as she marks Girls Aloud's first No 1
The singer has posted a string of pictures of Girls Aloud recording Sound Of The Underground, which was their first single and went to the top of the charts
Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts shared a string of pictures of her late bandmate Sarah Harding as she marked the anniversary of the group's first number one.
The singer said looking through shots of the group recording the Sound Of The Underground video in 2002 made her feel like she'd been "transported back to that freezing cold shoot in an empty warehouse where none of us could hardly believe what was happening or even knew what to do".
Roberts and Harding made the video with bandmates Cheryl, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh after they all won their positions in Girls Aloud on TV show Popstars: The Rivals.

The pictures shared on Instagram showed them backstage on the video shoot and many were of Harding, who died in September 2021 at the age of 39 after battling breast cancer.
"Happy Anniversary to the song that changed our lives!" Roberts, 37, wrote.
"20 years ago today Sound Of The Underground went to number 1 and stayed there for 4 consecutive weeks.
"Thank you @peterloraine @polydorrecords for these behind the scenes pictures.
"I’ve been sitting here going through them all and feel like I’ve been transported back to that freezing cold shoot in an empty warehouse where none of us could hardly believe what was happening or even knew what to do."
Fans of the group were thrilled to see the throwback images.
