Noel Clarke claims Bulletproof was “pulled before he could breathe” after allegations of sexual misconduct came to light.

The 46-year-old actor, who played Aaron Bishop in the Sky One crime series, took to social media to address questions from fans after the series was cancelled last year.

Although Bulletproof had been commissioned for a fourth series, producers pulled the plug shortly after Clarke was accused by 20 women of groping, verbal abuse and secretly filming a naked audition. He has denied all allegations.

Addressing the show, Clarke has since said he doesn’t have rights and cannot bring the series back.

Speaking to followers on Twitter, Clarke wrote: “Lots asking about #BULLETPROOF to be clear. I LOVED that show, we worked hard on it. I don’t own it.

He added: “I have no rights, I can’t bring it back or move it to another network. It was pulled before I could breath. (Villain was got right?) PROMISE I will get into all this soon.”

His latest remarks came several months after police revealed they would not be launching a criminal investigation into the actor.

Clarke has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing after 20 women spoke to The Guardian in 2021 and accused the actor of sexual misconduct.

In response to the allegations, he said in a statement: “In a 20-year career, I have put inclusivity and diversity at the forefront of my work and never had a complaint made against me. If anyone who has worked with me has ever felt uncomfortable or disrespected, I sincerely apologise. I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or wrongdoing and intend to defend myself against these false allegations.”

The fallout from the allegations led to ITV halting Viewpoint, the show which he starred in at the time.

BAFTA also suspended his membership and his 2021 award.

Clarke has also since claimed the allegations left him feeling suicidal.

The 46-year-old told the Mail on Sunday: “There has been no arrest, no charges, no trial, no verdict, but I have been criminalised... If we don’t need police and judges and juries any more, if we only need social media and the broadcasters, then what world do we live in?

“At what point did Bafta decide they were no longer about films, but they were about judging people’s lives?”
