Miles Kane and Newton Faulker are among the artists set to perform at a series of free gigs in Camden Market from this weekend.

Camden Unlocked will comprise eight open-air performances within the Stables Market Amphitheatre, set to run from July 25 until August 16, with 150 tickets available per day on a first-come, first-serve basis.

It is set to be among the first batch of open-air gigs to take place in the UK since lockdown began, coming just weeks after the Government authorised outdoor concerts with socially distanced audiences.

Mae Muller, Shaun Escoffery, Don Letts and Stone Foundation are among the other acts set to take part.

Live agent Neil O’Brien, who helped to arrange the gigs, said: “I am incredibly excited to help programme the artists appearing at one of the first live music events to take place in London for over three months.

“The artists involved have been absolutely brilliant and extremely supportive – reflecting the diverse nature of what Camden Market has to offer. It’s great to be able to get everyone safely back together, to enjoy the power of good music and good times”.

Social distancing will be implemented and the wearing of face masks “encouraged”. There will also be hand sanitiser dispensers around the site.
