The Osbournes returning to TV on BBC

'The Osbournes' is returning to TV on the BBC.

Clare Sillery, Head of Documentaries at the corporation, has confirmed the famous family's return to the UK from Beverly Hills will be part of a new show.

She said: "Twenty years ago the Osbournes left Britain for a life in LA. Now they are coming 'home to roost', back to their family home, pretty much as they left it all those years ago.

"In this new series our audience will be able to follow the family as they settle back into their new life in a Buckinghamshire village. It promises to be a funny, moving and honest insight into their new life back in the UK."

'The Osbournes' reality show, the first of its kind, aired from 2002 to 2005 on MTV and featured the domestic life of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, 73, his wife Sharon Osbourne, 69, and their kids Kelly, 37, and Jack Osbourne, 36, while their daughter Aimee Osbourne, 38, didn't wish to take part.

Ozzy recently revealed he is returning to Britain because he's "fed up" with gun violence in the US, after more than 25 years in the country.

The 'Changes' hitmaker - who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 - said: "Everything's f****** ridiculous there. I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings.

"And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … It's f****** crazy.

"I don't want to die in America. I don't want to be buried in f****** Forest Lawn.

"I'm English. I want to be back. But, saying that, if my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go.

"But, no, it's just time for me to come home."
