Outnumbered fans overjoyed as children from BBC sitcom reunite

The three young stars of the BBC comedy Outnumbered have reunited in a photograph posted to Instagram, with followers expressing joy over their continued friendship.

Ramona Marquez, who played inquisitive Karen on the long-running series, published the photo this weekend, appearing alongside her on-screen siblings Tyger Drew-Honey (aka Jake) and Daniel Roche (aka Ben).

The image appeared to have been taken the weekend before, with Marquez writing in a comment: “Lil throwback to our lovely barbecue a week ago”, along with a heart emoji.

While many of Marquez’s followers expressed joy over the reunited cast, others were more intrigued by what the reunion could mean for the show itself. “Does this mean there will be another series?” one person asked.

Outnumbered ran for six series from 2007 until 2014, lead by actors Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, with the family reuniting for a one-off Christmas special in 2016. Creator Andy Hamilton also hinted that same year that the show would likely return for intermittent specials moving forward.

“Our plan is to pop in every couple of years and see how the family is getting on,” he told The Telegraph. “You learn not to think too far ahead, but who knows? Many years down the line there’ll be an episode where Karen becomes a grandmother.”
