Paul Walker’s daughter pens poignant tribute to the late star on what would’ve been his 49th birthday

Meadow Walker has shared a heartfelt message to her late father Paul Walker on what would have been his 49th birthday.

The Fast and Furious actor, who was recently awarded with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, died in a car crash in California in 2013 aged 40.

The 23-year-old model took to Instagram on Monday to post a sweet throwback snap and unveiled new T-shirts available from his foundation to mark his birthday.

She captioned the post: “Happy birthday to my best friend and twin soul. I love you forever and miss you every day.

“New @paulwalkerfdn designs out today to celebrate you! Do good, be good.”

After sharing her tribute, fans flooded her comments section with messages of support and love as they remembered the popular late actor.

One fan penned: “Your dad was an amazing person! We Miss Him. Happy birthday Paul”.

“Sending you love, today & always,” another commented. “Thinking of you today Meadow.. Sending love your way.”

A fourth added: “Love u. He’s forever with u!!! ur guardian angel” (sic).

The budding actress was just 15 when Walker died in 2013 in a car crash and frequently honours his memory.

In June 2021, she attended the premiere of Fast and Furious 9 where Walker’s co-star Vin Diesel discussed the possibility of her joining the film franchise.

Speaking to E! Daily Pop, he said: "I would not count anything out. Let me just — without giving you all of the secrets of Fast 10, let’s just say nothing’s ruled out."

Diesel has previously said he feels "very protective" of his goddaughter, telling Extra at the time: "She’s the first person on Father’s Day to wish me Happy Father’s Day.

"To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things.

"There are moments when I see her playing with [my daughter] Pauline and it hits me so deep ‘cause I can only imagine what my brother sees when he sees that."

Last October, Meadow married Louis Thornton-Allan in an intimate beach ceremony in the Dominican Republic, which was attended by Diesel and actress Jordana Brewster.
