Birds of a Feather stars Pauline Quirke, Lesley Joseph and Linda Robson have quashed rumours of a spat between them by reuniting for a spot of lunch.

The trio, who play Sharon, Dorien and Tracey in the much loved sitcom, posted a picture of themselves having lunch in a Covent Garden restaurant.

Robson captioned the photo: "A lovely lunch with my beautiful friends."

There were rumours that the three had fallen out after Quirke refused to return for the final season of Birds of a Feather, opting instead to focus on her performing arts school.

Robson had previously denied that they had fallen out and said that Quirke simply wanted to focus on other projects instead of returning to the show.

She said on Good Morning Britain last year: "We haven’t had a falling out, Pauline don’t wanna act any more, she wants to concentrate on her academy. You’ve got to respect her wishes. We did the Christmas special, they asked us if we’d like to do it and we said yes."

Birds of a Feather originally aired on BBC One between 1989 and 1998, before returning on ITV in 2014.

The last episode of the show aired in December 2020 and is the only episode to not feature Quirke but it did star Les Dennis in a guest role.

After the airing of the special, ITV confirmed there were no plans for any more episodes and they would not be commissioning another season.

Aside from Birds of a Feather, Quirke is best known for her roles in Broadchurch and Emmerdale while Robson has appeared as a panellist on Loose Women since 2010.

Joseph is also known for her theatre work including a production of Young Frankenstein which saw her nominated for an Olivier Award.
