Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Celebrity, Peter said that Emily, who is expecting their second child early next year, just lives live as she did before she found out she was pregnant.

“Emily is my superwoman. She cooks, she can carry a baby and she just gets on with life as it was before. She’s carrying the greatest gift a man can ask for,” Pete told us.

Asked whether they have though about whether they’d prefer a girl or a boy, Pete insisted that they don’t have a preference.

“We are just thinking healthy! We don’t mind whether it’s a boy or a girl. Maybe I would quite like a boy but right now, we have no idea.”

“With Amelia, I wanted a boy so much and then when she was born she became my world.”

To further support his superwoman wife, this morning Peter hooked himself up to a ‘birth simulator machine’ to see exactly firsthand what women have to go through.

Live on Loose Women, the star visited at a clinic in Amsterdam called ‘The Birth Hotel’, that replicates labour contractions, using electrical currents through electrodes that are placed on his stomach.

Explaining how he felt after the event, Peter said, “It is nothing you’d ever expect. It’s absolutely horrific! Nothing in the world prepared me for that…. they say that guys can relate to it if you’ve had kidney stones and I’ve had kidney stones and let me tell you, I would have another twenty kidney stones rather than go through that again! That was hell.”

He added, “Would I go through it again? Never! This is my only child!”
