A bride-to-be who allegedly stole thousands from a stag do fund has been arrested, police have confirmed.

Rachel Doran, 29, was arrested by Cumbria Police after she was accused of “duping” her future husband Chris Mahone, 27, by faking a stag do to Ibiza.

Doran is said to have took over £400 from each of Chris’ 29 friends before forging boarding passes and a hotel reservation.

Cumbria Police said: “We can confirm that a 29-year-old woman, from Cleator Moor, was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of fraud by false representation.”

Chris phoned his wife-to-be after the airport fiasco where he discovered she had allegedly made off with the entire stag do fund and left the couple’s home near Whitehaven, Cumbria.
