Pop Idol's Michelle McManus welcomes baby boy and shares name

Michelle McManus has welcomed a baby boy.

The former Pop Idol star announced that she and her husband Jeff Nimmo are now parents to two.

She tweeted: "Goodbye January although I don't know how any other month this year could top you as you're the month we welcomed the newest addition to our family.

"Please say hello to Nicholas Peter Nimmo. Thank you for completing our family and our world. Love Mummy, Daddy & Harry."

She added the hashtags: "#love #family #newarrival #babyboy #babybrother"

The 'All This Time' singer shared a picture of their new addition asleep in a Moses basket while dressed in a sweet blue and white outfit.

After dating for two years, Michelle and Jeff married in 2017 with their wedding taking place in the Scottish Highlands.

In 2020, they welcomed son Harry, announcing his birth on social media.

"Last month we welcomed our beautiful son Harry John Nimmo into the world," she wrote at the time.

"Never could I have imagined this feeling of utter joy and overwhelming love for my little boy. My heart is literally bursting with happiness. We love you so much Harry."

Michelle announced her second pregnancy in November 2021 with a snap of the couple and their son with her baby bump on show.

After their son was born, Michelle praised the NHS, saying at the time: "Myself and Jeff will never be able to thank the staff at the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow for the care and attention they've given us over the last 9 months to ensure our darling son was delivered safely into the world.

"As a type 1 diabetic my pregnancy was to be a little more challenging but thanks to the constant support from the phenomenal Diabetic and Obstetrics teams at the Princes Royal I sailed through it with no complications, something I could never have done on my own."
