Buckingham Palace is bracing for more accusations from Prince Harry after it emerged he is set to do an interview with Tom Bradby.

The recording is to be broadcast on ITV early next month to coincide with the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare, the Times reported.

He is also set to be interviewed by Anderson Cooper, the US news anchor, days before the book is published on January 10.

The contents of the book, which is ghost written by JR Moehringer, are a closely guarded secret but it is predicted to be more inflammatory than the recent Netflix series, which contained a number of allegations against the royal family.

Bradby, who presents the ITV News At 10, got to know Princes William and Harry when he was a royal correspondent in the Nineties. He did the first official interview with William and Kate when they became engaged in 2010, and famously asked the Duchess of Sussex in 2019 about her mental health.

Meghan replied: “Thank you for asking, not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes”.

In their Netflix series, Meghan said her interview with Bradby marked a turning point as she claimed she got the “opposite” of support after it aired. The Sussexes will also present a new documentary series they say has been inspired by Nelson Mandela.

Live to Lead will air just a few weeks after their relationship with the monarchy hit a new low following the damaging claims made on Netflix.

Their new project, which will also air on the streaming service, premieres on December 31. In the short trailer, Harry says: “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela who once said ‘what counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived...’”

Meghan completes the quotation, saying: “...It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead”’.
