Richard E Grant shares moving video to mark one year since wife's death

Richard E Grant has shared a moving video to mark the one year anniversary of the death of his wife Joan.

The Star Wars and Loki actor shared a video of himself and Joan on Twitter dancing together with a beautiful caption.

"Still cannot compute that my beloved wife, Joan, mother of our daughter ⁦@OliviaGranted⁩, died a year ago, this evening," he said in the post. "Holding each other's hands until her final earthly breath. Forever dancing in my heart."

The actor posted the same video last year following the death of his wife of 35 years where he and Joan can be seen dancing to The Platters song 'Only You' as he serenades her and gives her a hug.

At the time he captioned the post: "ONLY YOU! Joan – Love of my life and giver of life to our daughter Olivia.

"Our hearts are broken with the loss of your life last night. 35 years married and 38 together. To be truly known and seen by you, is your immeasurable gift. Do not forget us, sweet Monkee-mine."

Previously opening up on how they met, Grant said that his parents' divorce when he was a child put him off the idea of marriage, but that all changed one day when he stumbled across his future wife teaching a class – and as they say, the rest is history.

"She was teaching an accent session with a bunch of actors, and I thought she had the most wonderful voice and huge, sort of monkey eyes. She seemed fairly frenetic. I thought that she was really cute and all that," he told The Independent.
