RuPaul has been announced as the new host of Lingo’s spin-off, Celebrity Lingo on ITV.

The spin-off follows the series, Lingo, which was hosted by Good Morning Britain’s presenter Adil Ray.

RuPaul said in a statement: “Now, more than ever before, people want to have fun, and Celebrity Lingo is here to serve it up generously.”

ITV have told press that the celebrities set to appear on the game show to “bank big money for charity” include Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh, The Saturday’s Una Healy, Stacey Dooley and partner Kevin Clifton, Dr Ranj, and The Masked Singer presenter Joel Dommett.

The Drag Race connoisseur will also host the US version of the original show, Lingo, showing on CBS.

Celebrity Lingo begins on ITV on Sunday, September 4 at 6.30 pm.
