Ryan Murphy says witches will be back on American Horror Story

Ryan Murphy has said the witches of American Horror Story will return.

The TV producer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, but couldn’t resist using the opportunity to drop some hints about the show’s future post-Apocalypse.

“The witches will be back,” Murphy told Entertainment Tonight, hinting at possible returns for the characters played by Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, and Lily Rabe in both Coven and Apocalypse. “Not next season, but we have something really fun planned.”

He refused to divulge what next season might have in store, but did confirm that a storyline has already been planned and that he would soon be revealing its cast list.

“I can’t say what it is! I’m going to this luncheon, and many of the Horror Story actors are there, and I’m gonna tell them for the first time,” Murphy revealed. “So I have to tell them first.”

Indeed, many of the show's stars were in attendance for the ceremony, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, and Finn Wittrock.

“I think a lot of times, when people get stars on the Walk of Fame, they think, ‘Well, maybe this is, you know, the pinnacle.’ And I don’t feel that way,” Murphy said. “I’m excited about so many things, and I am creating so many new things. I just like to be busy and create.”
