The set of The Mandalorian star Timothy Olyphant's new show Justified: City Primeval has been hit with an "incendiary device", according to Deadline.

The revival of the 2010's action series has been filming in Chicago, and local outlet ABC7 reported that police confirmed that someone lit and threw the device at the set on Monday (August 8) at about 10.20pm local time. The device did not explode and, thankfully, no-one was harmed, while authorities are still investigating what really happened before making any arrests.

This event comes nearly three weeks after another scary incident amid production, as Deadline reported two cars smashed through the set's barricades in July. The drivers were reportedly engaged in a gunfight, and shell cases were found on the scene of the incident. Olyphant and other cast and crew were said to hit the ground when the cars intruded and, thankfully, once again, no-one was harmed.

Speaking about that incident, FX's chief of network John Landgraf said: "I think it was a pretty traumatic experience for the cast and crew to be anywhere near that kind of gunfire.

"A lot was done to take a break and make sure everyone was OK, and we [increased] security."

A trained security team was brought in following the event, which consisted of former Navy SEALs and Army Rangers as well as a hostage negotiator.

That time, production on the show was shut down for a few days in order to allow the cast and crew time to recover. It's not yet been made clear if the same will happen for the latest incident.
