Soap star veterans Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt are among the celebs who are set to undergo the ultimate drag makeover for new ITV show Queens For The Night.

The one-off special, which is due to air later this year, will see the wannabe queens paired with their own individual mentor as they attempt to master everything from wearing high heels to singing, dancing, lip syncing, impression, comedy or Dragic (Drag magic).

They will then be given the chance to put their newly acquired skills to the test as they perform in a cabaret-style performance in front of a panel of judges and a live studio audience.

There can only be one winner however and it’s up to the live studio audience to decide who that is.

Gregson and Woodyatt, who star in Coronation Street and EastEnders respectively, will have huge competition as they aim to unleash their inner queen.

They will be reuniting again after they starred on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here together last year.

Joining them in the line-up are beloved fitness guru Mr Motivator, former Love Island star Chris Hughes, Union J boyband member George Shelley and England rugby star Joe Marler.

They will be mentored by drag queens royalty including La Voix, Myra DuBois and Margo Marshall as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alums Blu Hydrangea, Kitty Scott-Claus and Asttina Mandella.

Lorraine Kelly will act as show host while on the judging panel are Mel C, stand-up comedian Rob Beckett, drag artist Courtney Act, plus Layton Williams who played a drag queen in West End musical Everyone’s Talking About Jamie.

Lorraine Kelly added: “I’m so excited to be hosting this show. I am a huge fan of Drag and can not wait to see a host of well known stars embrace this uniquely wonderful and uplifting skill. It’s a show that will have humour, warmth and above all lots and lots of glamour, I can’t wait to get started.”

Executive Producer Karen Smith said: “Queens For The Night will deliver jaw-dropping transformations, heart-warming stories, high-heeled hilarity and must-see performances as Britain’s best drag queens share their world and mentor big name celebrities to perform for a glamorous panel. It’ll be wall-to-wall fabulousness.”
