Amazon Prime Video's Reacher will feature a special Smallville reunion.

TVLine reports that Lana Lang actress Kristin Kreuk has landed a supporting part in the upcoming series, which already boasts her Smallville co-star Alan Ritchson (who used to play Arthur Curry) in the titular role.

Her character is Charlie, a "refined former debutante who is living the Country Club life with her husband Hubble," but happens to be way tougher than she appears.

Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) also joins the ensemble as Jasper, a "local medical examiner who is suddenly overwhelmed and terrified by multiple murders in his small town."

Additional faces we'll see on screen include Willie C Carpenter, Currie Graham and Maxwell Jenkins, while Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald and Bruce McGill's involvement had already been announced.

Before Reacher was acquired by Amazon, original author Lee Childs explained why superstar Tom Cruise wouldn't be reprising the central character from the two Jack Reacher movies.

"Cruise, for all his talent, didn't have that physicality. We're going to take it to Netflix or something like that. Long-form streaming television, with a completely new actor.

"And I want all those readers who were upset about Tom Cruise to help me out – participate in choosing the right actor for the TV series," he added.

"We're rebooting and starting over and we're going to try and find the perfect guy."
