Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson and Prince Andrew are among the latest set of Spitting Image puppets to be unveiled.

The satirical political puppet show, an award-winning hit in the 1980s, is returning on streaming service BritBox later this year.

Senior government adviser Cummings – now best known for claiming he drove 30-miles to Durham beauty spot Barnard Castle during lockdown to test his eyesight – is portrayed as Machiavellian and villainous with a flamboyant silver collar sprouting from his trademark gilet.

Boris Johnson is shown as buffoonish with his shock of thick blond hair apparently growing out of control.

And Prince Andrew – who last year announced he was stepping down from royal duties following his ties to the late American businessman and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – sports a tweed hunting jacket and paisley neckerchief.

Previous puppets to have been unveiled include Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Donald Trump, Kanye West and Vladimir Putin.

American politician Bernie Sanders, businessman Elon Musk, drag queen RuPaul, singer Adele and actor and TV presenter James Corden are also set to get the satirical treatment.

The show is the first original commission announced by BritBox UK, the £5.99-a-month streaming service launched by the BBC and ITV. A second series has already been confirmed for 2021.

At its peak, it was watched by an audience of 15 million viewers.

The show famously featured Margaret Thatcher in a man’s suit treating her cabinet – “the vegetables” – with contempt, John Major as a grey puppet and the Queen Mother slugging from a gin bottle.

Spitting Image is produced by Avalon, whose credits include The Russell Howard Hour, Taskmaster, Catastrophe and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.

Spitting Image will air on BritBox later this year.
