Star Wars actor Michael Carter joins Comic Con star-studded guest list

House of the Dragon and Star Wars actor Michael Carter will be making a special appearance at Blackburn Comic Con next month.

Michael Carter, who plays Jaehaerys Targaryen in the new prequel for Game of Thrones, is one of the exciting guests you can meet at Blackburn Comic Con this year.

The thrilling announcement is the latest addition to a star-studded line up of film and media’s most exciting talent from the comic and fantasy genre.

Neil Livesey, of Blackburn Comic Con, said: “People will have the opportunity to speak to the guests during Q&As, where they can put their questions to the panel including the possibility of a Doctor Who one.

“There’ll be around 30 stalls selling movie merchandise and memorabilia and so on.

"We’ve got some more announcements coming up soon as more guests sign contracts.”

A number of actors have already been announced and even more is yet to come so fans should keep their eyes peeled.

Guests confirmed for Blackburn Comic Con so far are:

  • Colin Baker known for his role of the Doctor in Doctor Who from 1984 to 1986

  • Gareth David Lloyd who plays Ianto Jones in the Torchwood TV series

  • Wolf Kahler who portrayed Nazi Colonel Herman Dietrich in Raiders of the Lost Ark

  • Hattie Hayridge who played the female version of Holly in Red Dwarf

  • Michael Carter, best known for playing Bib Fortuna in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and for House of the Dragon showing now on Sky and Now TV.

Graphic designer Tim Perkins from Blackburn who used to work for Marvel, DC and other comic companies will also be at the event.

In terms of attractions, there will be an Indiana Jones temple set, a Gremlins movie set and the TARDIS from Doctor Who will be set up for fans to explore and take photos of.

The event will be taking place at Ewood Park from 10.30am to 4.30pm and tickets are available to purchase online.
