Beth Broderick is best known for playing the role of Zelda Spellman in the '90s classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but it looks like she has an exciting new role lined up.

The actress will have a guest appearance in Supernatural star Jared Padalecki's new show Walker – a reboot of the action series Walker, Texas Ranger.

The original show ran from 1993 to 2001 and had Chuck Norris playing the lead character of Cordell Walker. Padalecki will star as Walker in the reboot.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Broderick mentioned that she had just finished filming the series and mentioned how grateful she is to have a varied acting career.

"I just finished on a new show called Walker, Texas Ranger, they're doing a reboot of that. I was talking to the director, and he was like, 'Oh my god, you've never stopped working.'

"And I said I'm so blessed and so lucky that I've been able to go back from features to television, from drama to comedy and get to experience a range of materials and explore a range of characters. I feel very blessed. I'm very grateful, every day."

The reboot is focussed on a widowed father who wants to reconnect with his children when he returns to Austin after two years. He tries to navigate life with his family and his new partner – however, he grows concerned about the circumstances surrounding his wife's death.

While Broderick couldn't give away details about her role in the show, she said: "It's with Jared Padalecki and Lindsey Morgan. They're such lovely fantastic humans. It's going to be a hit. I know it in my bones."

Walker premieres January 21, 2021 on The CW.
