Takeaway guest Gordon Ramsay swears on live TV after promising not to
Hotheaded chef Gordon Ramsay took charge of tonight's (February 27) announcements on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
In the opening few minutes, the presenters alluded to his infamous swearing on TV shows like Hell's Kitchen as they revealed ITV had invested in a bleep machine, especially for this episode.
After promising to keep things clean – his mum was watching, after all – Gordon proceeded to utter the word 'pissed' in the Read My Lips challenge.

In his defence, he was completely tuned into the high-pressured moment and wanted to win some prize money for the contestants.
Ant and Dec quickly chimed in with an apology to viewers. Meanwhile on Twitter, viewers were in hysterics over Gordon's sweary guess.

Elsewhere in the world of Takeaway, the Geordie duo previously spoke to Digital Spy about COVID-19's impact on the 2021 series.
"There's a lot of social distancing," Dec pointed out. "A lot of wearing masks when you're on set and stuff. Ant and I, whenever we film, we get tested and we form a cohort. So we're allowed to stand next to each other. It's a lot of social distancing. And that's the thing as well – you don't want everything you do to look really COVID-y."
Ant went on to add: "The show's about being entertained and having a laugh on a Saturday night. Even though the correct protocols have happened making it, we don't necessarily want it to show on screen."
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway continues next Saturday (March 6) on ITV.
