Tamzin Outhwaite struggling to live normal everyday life during menopause

Tamzin Outhwaite has admitted going through the menopause has made her feel "a bit crazy" and struggle to do juggle her busy life

The 51-year-old former EastEnders star - who is due to appear in the new series of Death In Paradise - revealed she is learning to adapt to the hormone imbalances in her body.

Outhwaite told The Mirror: "I feel as if I’m going a bit crazy right now... the menopause makes you question things about your life."

She added: "I can’t do what I used to do in my everyday life. My life used to be so chaotic. There’s also a very nurturing and calm side to me and I’m struggling to find that side of myself again. I’m hoping yoga will help.

"It’s very strange for a woman to get to a stage of her life and think, 'Who am I?' But I’m trying to look for the positive in all this. It’s not easy."

The Ridley Road star split from her husband, Miranda star Tom Ellis, in 2013 after seven years together. They share two daughters, Flo, 13, and Marnie, nine.

She now lives with cameraman Tom Child, 30, who she met four years ago.

Outhwaite has previously revealed she has had to cut back on drinking as she gets older, as her hangovers can last two days.

She said: "When I’m not drinking I do feel better. love being with my mates and having a drink and vibing with each other.

“But I’m very aware now that I can’t recover very well the next day. It takes longer as you get older."

Last year she opened up about suffering miscarriages, saying she lost many babies and had felt “a sense of shame”.

Outhwaite shared her story on Twitter as she praised Myleene Klass for speaking out about baby loss in the documentary Myleene Klass: Miscarriage & Me.

The EastEnders said: “Thank YOU for opening up and talking about it.

“I feel guilty for NOT talking about losing many babies as I felt a sense of shame.”
