Taron Egerton ‘splits’ from long-term girlfriend Emily Thomas after pulling out of West End show

Taron Egerton has split from his girlfriend Emily Thomas after six years of dating, according to reports.

It comes after a turbulent few months for the Rocketman actor, who passed out on stage during the opening night of his West End show Cock last month.

The 32-year-old then tested positive for Covid before quitting the stage show for good citing “personal reasons” on April 2.

Egerton has now deleted all traces of Thomas from Instagram and a source close to the star claims he has signed up to celebrity dating App Raya in the hopes of finding someone new.

An insider told The Sun: “Taron and Emily have both been really busy for the past year and it put a lot of pressure on their relationship.

“They have separated and it hasn’t been easy for either of them. He is taking some time for himself now but he is open to meeting someone else soon.

“He has been putting himself out there on Raya in the hopes he can ease himself back into dating.”

Assistant director Thomas has worked on a string of blockbuster movies including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wonder Woman and Justice League.

The couple previously split in 2018 before confirming they had romantically reconciled at the pre-BAFTA Filmmakers Dinner four months later.

Egerton, who will next be seen in Apple TV’s psychological thriller series Black Bird, has yet to comment on the status of his relationship himself.
