Dwayne Johnson has shared a hilarious throwback photograph to his 11-year-old self in which he is seen wearing his father’s wrestling trunks.

On his Instagram, the Jumanji star explained that the picture was taken in 1983, with the young Johnson wearing his dad’s trunks, boots, jacket and championship belts and “dreaming of one day becoming a pro wrestling champion”.

Johnson’s father Rocky was a successful professional wrestler who became the first black Georgia Heavyweight Champion, and the first black champion in WWE history. Rocky Johnson died in January this year at the age of 75.

Along with explaining the context of the photo, Johnson also joked about his 11-year-old chest, writing: “Only thing I forgot to wear was my training bra!!”

“C’mon afro tits,” he added. “You’re gonna be late for school!”

The Fast & Furious actor additionally added a number of hashtags, including: “#thankgodforpuberty”, “#afrotits” and “#stillaBMF [bad motherf***er]”.

The throwback picture received a warm welcome on Instagram, with NFL player JJ Watt writing, “This is art”, and social media star Daz Black joking, “You know this is going to be the next big Halloween costume”.

Welsh bodybuilder Flex Lewis joked: “You were taking some big risks with them white pants back in the day mate.”

The typically apolitical Johnson recently announced his support for Joe Biden in next month’s presidential election.

He also went viral in September after revealing he ripped down a security gate using his bare hands.
