The identity of The Masked Singer's Knitting appears to have been confirmed by Ian H Watkins from Steps.

Knitting made their debut on the new series of the ITV singing show at the weekend and many fans guessed it was Claire Richards after clues included links to morning television, the West End, and the Steps song One For Sorrow.

H shared a clip on Instagram of himself watching The Masked Singer on TV and recognising the voice. He included the hashtags "#TheMaskedSinger #knitting #knittingmaskedsinger #clairefromsteps #clairefromsteps #hfromsteps #ianhwatkins #fyp #foryou #singer"

The Masked Singer has returned for its fourth series with 13 new mystery celebrity singers, including a duo in form of Cat and Mouse.

The show is hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, alongside a celebrity panel to guess who is behind the masks made up of Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan.

Cat and Mouse, Phoenix, Jellyfish and Otter all took part in week one, alongside Knitting and Ghost.

Week two will see debut performances from Fawn, Jacket Potato, Pigeon, Rubbish, Rhino and Piece Of Cake.
