Tilly Ramsay reveals scariest part of joining dad Gordon on Uncharted Showdown

Tilly Ramsay was terrified of bullet ants during 'Uncharted Showdown'.

The 20-year-old star - whose father is celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay - is set to take on her famous dad on a special episode of his new three part National Geographic series, which will see them face off in the finale in a culinary showdown in Costa Rica.

Reflecting on the experience, she said: "I was terrified of those bullet ants; if you put your hand in one place for too long they could bite you really easily and everyone was telling me it was so painful, like you’ve been shot.

"It was genuine fear in those situations. What else could come out of the wildlife - there’s snakes and spiders? There’s such a big terrain but we don’t have people clearing the way or making it safe.

"Obviously there are people around us, but there was no sugarcoating - you really are in the thick of it."

Another key part of the show is the competitive edge between father and daughter, and the 'Strictly Come Dancing' star admitted their interactions aren't put on for the cameras.

She added: "It’s very genuine. We can be competitive over the smallest things. I think it's because we're so similar and we both love winning so much that it's so super natural to have that against each other - and it does cause for good fun.

"Whenever we have a little competition against each other it always gets interesting. So it's always a laugh with him."

At one point in the show, Gordon playfully splashes Tilly with some water, and she admitted they have a "super close" bond.

She explained: "We are so playful together, we do this sort of thing all the time. It’s just friendly banter, and he knows I can take it. I know if I did it to him, he could take it.

"It’s just another thing to rile me up so I have the mindset that I really want to beat him. We’re like that at home; we kick water or throw sand.

"We get on each other’s nerves but it in a good way. We share the same birthday, so we’re super close in lots of ways - almost like the same person in many ways.

"That also ties into the competitiveness - we both want to win so much."
