Tina Turner posts heartbreaking tribute to son who is found dead

Tina Turner has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her son Ronnie, who died earlier this week aged 62.

Singer Turner's son Ronnie Turner had been found dead at his home on Thursday morning.

Posting a black and white photo of herself on Instagram with her eyes closed, Turner wrote: "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son."

A cause of death has not been announced, although Ronnie had suffered from health issues including a previous cancer diagnosis.

Proud Mary singer Turner, 83, has outlived both of her children as her eldest son Craig shot himself dead in July 2018.

Ronnie, born in 1960, was also a musician and played bass guitar in his own band as well as mother Turner's band, and for his father Ike Turner.

The Best singer had welcomed elder son Craig with saxophonist Raymond Hill in 1958 when she was just 18 years old.

Fans and friends of the star offered their condolences in the comments on her Instagram post.

It was reported that emergency services had been called to Ronnie's Los Angeles home on Thursday morning after he had been found struggling to breathe outside of his house.

People passing by had attempted to help him with CPR, but he had been pronounced dead at the scene.

Ronnie's wife, the French singer Afida Turner, had also posted a heartfelt tribute to her late husband.

She shared a number of photos of them together, including one of the couple with Ronnie's mother, too.

She wrote: "My god Ronnie Turner a true angel, huge soul, highly spiritual, my husband, my best friend, my baby."

Afida added: "I did the best to the end, this time I was no able to save you."

She also wrote: "This is a tragedy, you with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner."
