Tom Jones and Craig David revealed as headliners for Oxfordshire music festival

Sir Tom Jones and Craig David are just some of the unmissable acts taking to the main stage for Henley festival's 40th anniversary.

Henley Festival has today revealed its line-up for this year’s 40th anniversary celebrations from Wednesday July 6 to Sunday 10.

The festival - the poshest event of its kind, with a black tie dress code - takes beside the River Thames, on the site of the town's Royal regatta, using much of the regatta's infrastructure.

Festival goers are invited to be part of five nights full of music, comedy, art, dancing, gastronomy and fireworks.

Comedy acts including Jo Brand, Russell Kane and Ivo Graham will be making audiences laugh at the festival's award-winning comedy club.

Headlining the Floating Stage on Wednesday evening will be the blockbusting Irish trio, The Script. The night will be brought to a close by euro-disco phenomenon Boney M, with the original lead singer Liz Mitchell, performing international chartbusters in the Festival Club.

Craig David, will perform an epic evening of his best-loved hits on the Floating Stage on Thursday.

The legendary Sir Tom Jones will perform on Friday evening with music from his 41st studio album Surrounded By Time.

On Saturday, revered DJ, broadcaster and global dance music legend Pete Tong, together with The Heritage Orchestra and Jules Buckley, will present an evening of iconic classical electronic music.

The festival will close with a special concert on Sunday evening, featuring an exclusive line-up of special guests to be announced.
