Watch: Biden receives Covid-19 vaccine live on TV
President-elect Joe Biden received the coronavirus vaccine alongside his wife, Dr Jill Biden, on Monday. In a speech, he implored people to receive the vaccine once it becomes available to them.
Donald Trump, in comparison, has not indicated when or if he will receive the vaccine prior to leaving office. Instead Mr Trump has focused all efforts on imploring local and state officials in key battleground states to help him overturn the 2020 election results. A new report indicates Mr Trump contacted at least 31 officials in the last month in his bid to sway the election his way.
In other news, Attorney General Bill Barr contradicted the president on multiple points during his final press conference on Monday. This included reaffirming that Russia likely was behind the cyber hack and saying voting machines should not be seized by the US government.
