Bafta TV 2022 nominations: 'It's A Sin' leads with 11 nods
It's A Sin has been nominated for 11 awards at the 2022 TV Baftas.
The full list of nominations for the TV awards recognises the Channel 4 drama – starring Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander – which followed the story of three young men in London in 1981 at the beginning of the HIV epidemic.
The awards It's A Sin is in the running for include best leading actor for Alexander, who starred as aspiring actor Ritchie Tozer in the drama created by Doctor Who and Queer As Folk writer Russell T Davies.

Davies is also recognised for his writing on the show with award nominations for best mini-series and best writer.
And Lydia West, 28, who played Ritchie's best friend and gay rights campaigner is in the running for best leading actress.
Alexander, 31, is nominated opposite David Thewlis for Sky Atlantic's true crime comedy-drama Landscapers; Hugh Quarshie for ITV's Stephen, about the murder of Stephen Lawrence; Samuel Adewunmi for BBC crime drama You Don't Know Me; Sean Bean for prison drama Time and Stephen Graham for Channel 4's Help, which tackled the care crisis during the coronavirus pandemic.
West faces competition in the leading actress category from Kate Winslet for HBO crime drama Mare Of Easttown; Denise Gough and Emily Watson who are both nominated for ITV's psychological drama Too Close; Jodie Comer for Help, and Niamh Algar for Channel 4 true crime drama Deceit.
Titanic star Winslet has won three Bafta Film awards but this is her first nomination for a TV Bafta.
Film noir series Landscapers - which starred Thewlis and Olivia Colman — has the second most nominations with seven.
The surreal drama followed the true story of married middle-age couple Susan and Christopher Edwards, who went on the run in Europe after murdering her parents.
COVID drama Help has six nominations along with Time and We Are Lady Parts — the C4 sitcom about a Muslim all-girl punk band.
Netflix hit Sex Education, starring Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson and Emma Mackey, has five nominations.

And BBC's A Very British Scandal starring Claire Foy as the Duchess of Argyll is up for four awards.
The TV Bafta Awards ceremony takes play on 8 May and will be broadcast on BBC One from 7pm.
