Two fitness fanatics took part in an Olympic triathlon, raising £1,450 for Carlisle Eden Mind.

Personal trainer Sean Ryder and regular gym goer Alan Webdale competed in the triathlon at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa, a day which consisted of a 1,500m swim, 40km cycle and a 10km run.

"Mental health is massively underfunded and a big concern at the minute.

"Alan and I wanted to do it for mental health as it is close to our hearts and is something that has affected us both.

"There are people struggling without the right support," Sean said.

Sean completed the triathlon in just under 3 hours and regular gym-goer Alan Webdale completed the challenge in three hours and 25 minutes.

Carlisle Eden Mind took to Facebook to thank the pair for their incredible effort.
