Ulrika Jonsson: I prayed for large breasts but ended up hating them
Ulrika Jonsson has told how she grew up praying for bigger breasts - but hated them when she got them.
The former Gladiators star, 53, said she had “bee stings for breasts” when she was young and that she was bullied over it at school.
But when she finally did develop an ample chest, she discovered it brought a new set of problems.

She wrote in The Sun that she “longed, prayed (seriously to the God of boobies in all earnestness) and pleaded for a decent pair of knockers”.

Her prayers were answered when she was around 16 but she struggled with her new “big and awkward” assets.
“From then on in, I just never managed to develop a positive relationship with my jugs,” she wrote. “They felt big and awkward, gave me neck and back ache and, as I’ve joked many times before, would often enter the room two to three minutes before I did.
“They got a lot of attention, not helped by the fact that I was also blonde. It seemed to give off some sort of open invitation or carte blanche to blokes. And I found it uncomfortable.”
After four pregnancies and breastfeeding four babies, the presenter said she “just began to hate them”.
She eventually went under the knife for a breast reduction and said she is now starting to develop a “healthy relationship” with her boobs.

It isn’t the first time that Jonsson has spoken out about learning to embrace what she’s got.
Last month, the star said it was time for her to reclaim her body after being viewed as a sex object.
She told The Sun that she had struggled to feel a sense of ownership over her body from a young age and that it was time to own it.
